STARRUPTURE FIELD NOTES

StarRupture: Make a Co-op Gathering List Everyone Can Follow

Coordinate a finite crafting goal with clear material ownership, shared stock, and a versioned handoff.

Worked StarRupture example: split a Rotor and Stator run

The crew wants 20 Rotor and 10 Stator, with 10 Titanium Ore in shared stock. Calculate one combined plan before dividing the remaining resources.

Automatic assignment balances the count of distinct resource types. It does not estimate travel distance, mining difficulty, or time. Change owners in the planner if your crew needs a different split; checking a resource does not add it to inventory.

Calculated from Update 2 · Quality of Life, retrieved 2026-10-30, using the first included default recipe for every output. Examples use the pinned Update 2 default recipes. Update 3 Public Test Branch switches for building, crafting and unlocking costs are not modeled; corporation-difficulty percentages are not material-cost multipliers. Agree on one shared target

Before dividing tasks, choose the same finished-item targets and recipe selections. Record shared inventory in one plan, including components that are already available. Decide what counts as reserved stock so one teammate does not promise materials another person has already allocated. A short, agreed target is easier to coordinate than several conflicting shopping lists.

Assign remaining quantities

Divide the remaining requirements by material or by a complete subtask. Give each assignment one owner and a quantity, then leave a note for unassigned work. Avoid treating separate copies of a plan as a live shared inventory. If two people edit local copies, reconcile their progress before deducting new stock or marking a task complete.

Share a clear handoff

Send the goal, remaining quantities, task owners, recipe version, and any gathering allowance together. Refresh the list after a delivery rather than sending only a changed total without context. Recipe ratios estimate theoretical demand; they do not guarantee exact manufacturing batches, travel time, or completion time. Confirm actual supplies in the game before the next crafting step. If the target changes, regenerate the whole remaining list and tell everyone which earlier assignments have been replaced.

A delivered part changes inventory; a checkbox changes progress

The Battery handoff uses Inductor both directly and through its Electronics chain. Its stored Inductor is one shared balance, not a separate allowance for each branch. Checking a resource marks the checklist only; it does not add collected ore or delivered components to inventory and does not rewrite other crew members’ copies.

Make the next handoff from reconciled stock

Use one person’s plan as the working handoff record. The two-player cases already include finished items, intermediate stock and raw stock, so do not add their example amounts a second time after opening the stocked snapshot.

  1. Export any local plan you want to keep, then open the stocked Battery or Superconductor example.
  2. Replace example stock with the supplies your crew has actually confirmed; keep the agreed total target.
  3. Review the remaining gathering list before assigning owners in Split the run.
  4. After a delivery, reconcile the physical inventory and edit the relevant stock amounts. Re-check any assignments affected by the new remainder.
  5. Copy a fresh share link after the update. Tell teammates it replaces the earlier handoff, and identify which plan or target is current.
  6. Treat each recipient’s link as an editable snapshot. Later edits and checkboxes are local; they do not synchronize back to the sender.

Keep one budget before dividing the run

Do not give each player a complete raw-material budget and subtract the same shared chest from both. Build one combined target-and-inventory plan first, then assign its final remaining quantities. Automatic assignment balances the number of resource types; it is not a route, travel-time or workload optimizer.

Try the complete inventory workflow

These runs include partially completed targets, intermediate components and raw resources. Keep the total target unchanged when opening the stocked copy; the finished inventory is already included.

FULL-STOCK EXAMPLE

Coordinate a 6-Superconductor run

Give a two-player crew one budget after finished Superconductor, Electromagnet, Supermagnet, Synthetic Resin and ore stock are counted.

Finished: 1 SuperconductorParts: 2 Electromagnet, 4 Supermagnet, 3 Synthetic ResinRaw: 20 Wolfram Ore, 10 Sulphur Ore, 12 Titanium Ore
